The Textile Conservation Studio covers a diverse range of conservation activities, depending on the condition of the object, of all museum fabric objects – antique carpets, kilims, tapestries, wall and furniture upholstery fabrics, as well as costumes, uniforms and numerous everyday objects. These objects are exhibited in all historic interiors of the Museum of National Remembrance branches and in the permanent exhibitions of the Museum of Applied Arts. Particular attention is paid to contemporary art objects, for example the “Yellow” – the only Magdalena Abakanowicz tapestry in the MNP collection.
